What is a Community of Practice and Why is this important for Learning?
The three primary characteristics of a Community of Practice (CoP) are:
1. Domain
- The domain is the shared area of interest, profession, or expertise that brings members together.
2. Community
- The community aspect refers to the relationships and interactions among members. It’s not just about sharing a common interest but about actively engaging with each other.
3. Practice
- Practice consists of the shared repertoire of resources, tools, methods, stories, and knowledge that members use and contribute to.
